The Boy
Class 3 are currently listening to The boy at the back of the class. It is a story about a refugee from Syria. Some of the children find out that his favourite fruit is a pomegranate. Many of our children didn’t know what they looked or tasted like – so we tried one!
Class 2 and 3 Topic Work

Science – States of Matter – Year 3/4
This half-term Year 3/4 have been doing lots of investigations on States of Matter. The children have investigated which states sink and found ice and water do. They also investigated whether a gas weighs anything using fizzy drinks and shaking them then reweighing them. Lastly, the children used cereals to represent particles in the different
Plants
Year 3/4 have been dissecting ‘Plants’ in Science. They are learning all of the separate parts of the plant including the stamen, stigma, ovary, ovule, filament, anther, flower and pollen.
