We were delighted that so many children took part in our recent music assembly. We all enjoyed listening to pieces played on the guitar, piano, keyboard and violin. Class 2 also performed an act from the play ‘James and the Giant Peach’. Well done to you all.
Class 2
Santa Run
Mr Surman organised a Santa run, just before Christmas. It was muddy but great fun! The Santas also enjoyed a lovely football match.
Roman Museum at Verulamium
Class Two rounded off their Roman Topic with a trip to the Roman Museum at Verulamium (St. Albans) on Tuesday 8th January. Whilst there they dressed up in tunics and walked around a mock Roman market. They also played Roman games, saw real Roman skeletons and watched clips about the Roman history of St. Albans.
Santa Dash
On Tuesday 18th December the whole school took part in the first annual Santa Dash on the Green. It really was a great sight seeing 60+ Santa hats racing across the football pitch. There were house races, year group races and even a family race! Everybody had a great time. Winners of races: Nursery/Reception/Year 1
Children In Need
On Friday 23rd November the whole school got involved in Children In Need. All of the children donated money towards the great cause and came to school in their ‘spotty’ clothes. The children went to the Green to face their Children In Need challenge of running as many laps around the cricket and football pitch
Firework Art
Some of years 2 – 6 enjoyed getting creative with glue, salt and watercolour. The firework pictures that resulted are fab and are displayed in Class 3 if you’d like to come and have a look.
