Today, all the children from Tetsworth Primary School took part in a marathon ‘five laps’ to raise money for Children In Need. Everyday, the children take part in the ‘five laps of the playground challenge’ so that they maintain a healthy lifestyle, but today they took things a little further in the aid of charity.
Kicking off at 9am – with the first five laps completed by Laila-Beth Marriott & Oscar Brookes in Year 2 & ending at 3pm with Otto Marriott & Emil Ponte of Year 5 & 6 – the school did not stop moving. There were always two people running lengths of the playground throughout the whole school day. Everybody took part from Nursery to Year 6, with even the Staff Members getting in on the act. The final number of laps came to 2074 with Otto & Emil completing 79 laps each.
Overall, the children raised £140 for Children In Need & the staff of Tetsworth Primary are very, very proud of their valiant efforts.
