Welcome to Class One and our topic My Family and other Animals. I am pleased to say children are settling into our routines and forging some lovely friendships. The children have been busy painting self portraits and practising their cutting skills. They have enjoyed listening to the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea and made some fantastic tiger collages and learnt some marbeling techniques. In Maths the children are learning how to count and write numerals. In Phonics the children are learning to orally segment and blend sounds. In Literacy the children are learning how to write sentences and use their phonic knowledge to spell words.
