Sports Day was a great success on a hot summer’s day as the Chilterns, Red Kites, Swans and St. Giles went to battle. The children took part in hurdling, sprinting and long-distance races as well as javelin and bean bag throwing. The all important house relay race was the last race of the day, with Natasha Wilson, Lolah Riley, Jermaine Muponda and Huw Eden-Parish winning the relay for the St. Giles team. However, the winners were announced as the Red Kites. Emil Ponte, Harrison Redman, Skye Redman-Bowden and Simon Cheeseman contributed a lot of the points to Red Kites win but it is a team game and as Bix Ponte walked up to collect the trophy he was flanked by two other leaving Year 6’s in Rebecca Roberts and Hazel Cheeseman. The team then posed for the winning photo and celebrated triumphantly!
